• MEFCU will collect only the personal information needed to conduct our business. This information is used in a manner consistent with our members’ expectations.
• MEFCU will maintain strong security controls to ensure that the information in our files or in the computer is protected.
• All members have access to their own information. If a member needs to review and amend the information, our staff will be happy to assist in order to ensure that our records are complete, accurate and up-to-date.
• MEFCU will only share information when required to do so by the government or Business Partners in order to expand our products and services to better serve our members.
• MEFCU will make sure that Business Partners follow the same strict confidentiality requirements. The Business Partner we select will offer services to improve our members’ well being. We will not allow those Business Partners to charge a members’ account without his or her express consent. We will not sell any information to TELEMARKETING firms.
• MEFCU will take all reasonable steps to make sure that the PRIVACY LAW regulation is in place at all times. We will keep our members informed at least once per year by sending a direct mailing.
• The mobile banking app may collect personal information from you or your financial institution, such as your first and last name, address, e-mail, User IDs, telephone number, and social security number when you create an account and use . This information could include your address or contacts (e.g. to make P2P (peer to peer) payments using Zelle or other payments functionality). We will collect the financial and transaction information necessary to provide you with the Services, including account numbers, payment card expiration date, payment card identification, verification numbers, and transaction and payment history
